In a nutshell, yes, that’s it – the recipe for starting out to be a web programmer.

It took me a while to figure out, gather and put the ingredients in their right place. A break-up of the tools is given below.

The aim of this post is only to introduce various tools that are most helpful in the various stages of the development cycle. A detailed discussion is not in the scope of this discussion.

I have tried to be neutral in my compilation regarding Operating Systems. All tools discussed here is available across various platforms.

The target audience of this tutorial are people who are generally termed as “dummies”. But I hope some of the non-dummies also find this useful.
